Historical research in a nutshell.

Well recently I have come to the realization that I am going to be fifteen years of age in a matter of weeks and one of the things that I want more than anything is a new set of colonial clothing for re-enacting purposes. This is an intensive process that should not be taken lightly...  Basically you have to pick a persona, I have adopted a drummer for the continental army.  so you then look for things that your person would wear through first person or secondary sources. the final step is finding a place that makes the exact clothes you need, or learn to sew.  I have my new clothes and this weekend I will post something along the lines of.. "Dressing the colonial man"... other than that I really haven't done much worth blogging.  More will come though, I promise!

cell phones suck

Well 2 weeks ago at the beach I lost mine, gues where it was... in a bowl of water. nuff said.. Im pissed

HOLY @#%* it's 2012 already

Hi, wow I guess I should sum up the holidays and my school vacation.  Nah, remember I'm too much of a hipster to do that.... Okay maybe ths one time I'll conform to the scocial norm:

Halloween- Didn't happen, CT cancelled it because it snowed in October but I did miss school the entire week, it was a trade off.  I went to Atlanta  Georgia it was cool, I found my new love frozen yogurt. luckily theres a year round Yogurt Madness up here.. I can fill my cravings.

Dia De Los Muertos- I didn't celebrate it, the one time I did and ate a sugar skull I wanted to die...

Thanksgiving- F-O-O-D, nough said.  I'll go on don't worry, the family came over and we ate.  we had turkey, pasta, stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potato cassurole, I'm sure there was more but I don't want to think about it anymore.

Sol invictus- (christmas) according to the bible, Jesus was actually born in March (no wonder I'm so saintly) so we were ctually celebrating the old pagan sun holiday, sol invictus.  your welcome for that tid-bit.  eh...I got a week off of shool needless to say I got some well deserved rest...

New Year- It's a big shiny ball...yep.  it was my once a year glass of sparkling grape juice, and I loved it (note to self--CONCORD GRAPES) the white ones taste lik ca-ca.
